Niya’s community welcomes anyone who is considered underrepresented in the tech and data industry. This includes, but is not exclusive to, refugees, migrants, ethnic minorities, women in tech, LGBTQ+, neurodiverse and physically disabled people.
The candidates in our community are all motivated and actively searching for jobs across cloud, cyber security, UX/UI, software engineering, automation, product development, data science and more.
Niya was founded in February 2021 under the premise that talent is everywhere, but opportunity isn’t. Having worked on the frontline with refugees, our founding team recognised the untapped potential of diverse talent and wanted to bridge the digital and diversity divide in organisations. Niya's community is global, spanning 35+ countries around the world. Open to hiring remotely? Our Employer of Record partners will support you in compliantly employing staff who live in countries where your company lacks a local entity.
We are fully-focused on tech and data talent with a particular abundance of candidates experienced in the software development, cloud and data analytics domains. Collectively, our talent pool holds experience in 100+ different tech stacks, with options to filter and find the perfect hire for your organisation.
Niya enables you to make inclusion simple, to future proof your workforce and to become a social impact leader. By engaging with our global community of underrepresented people, you’ll be contributing directly to global charities and you’ll be tackling social mobility.
Niya simplifies inclusion by enabling you to collaborate with NGOs, community hiring partners, training providers, HR services and other DEI leaders through a single centralised network. We’re bringing all your stakeholders together, rather than throwing another into the mix.
Here at Niya we have a big focus on building and nurturing a thriving community of talent.
A lot of our candidates are referred directly from frontline NGOs, nonprofits and communities; we have 80+ global partners and we redirect our success fees back into these organisations.
Besides this we grow our community organically through word of mouth, attracting talent with access to free events, training, mentorship and job opportunities.
Many of our community partners de-risk hiring by carrying out initial background checks on their referred candidates. We also interview and assess all individuals on their language proficiency, technical/business skills prior to being listed on our platform and their right to work is always confirmed.
We encourage all organisations to run their own skills assessments when hiring new tech / data talent and offer guidance on this in our member hub, including access to discounted rates with our trusted assessment partners.
